A CONCEPT FROM COUNTRY CHOICE

As part of this ongoing review process the venue, and in particular its Head of Food and Beverage, James Perry, works closely with leading UK foodservice supplier Brakes and it was through them that James was introduced to Flatstone Pizza Co. – a concept created by Brakes’ sister company, Country Choice.

Within an arena you need food solutions that are quick and convenient for the guest, but do not compromise on quality. When we were reviewing our food offer, pizza wasn’t initially identified as an opportunity because a previous solution had not fared well, and we felt that pizza was on the decline. However, when we looked at Flatstone Pizza Co. we were pleasantly surprised by the taste of the product, the branding, and the pricing. This, along with the fact that Brakes have become a trusted supplier partner, gave us the confidence to introduce it.

A DYNAMIC AND INCLUSIVE CONCEPT

As you can imagine we are constantly inundated with potential opportunities from food and beverage brands and suppliers, and we did look at other options, but with such a diverse clientele of all ages – from sports enthusiasts to rock fans – our food solutions have to be both dynamic and inclusive, which Flatstone Pizza Co. is.

Although there were many things that attracted us to the concept in the first place you can never be completely certain how successful any food or beverage solution is going to be until you actually roll it out. I am happy to report that 12 months on from the introduction of Flatstone Pizza Co. in August 2022 our decision has been well and truly vindicated.

The Complete Pizza Solution

Every aspect of it has proven to be really simple to operate – from the ordering of ingredients to the preparation and merchandising of the pizzas themselves – and the support and training we have had from Country Choice has also been excellent.

In fact, so successful has Flatstone Pizza Co. been, that having initially started with one outlet inside, we subsequently introduced another one, outside, in January of this year.

EXCELLENT MARGINS

Sales continue to grow, with excellent margins, and Flatstone Pizza Co. has been gradually moving up our list of bestselling concepts.

Consumer feedback has been excellent in relation to both the product quality and the look and feel of the brand, which really make it stand out. This, along with its menu variety, speed, and convenience, as well as the ongoing support we have had from Country Choice with regards to branding, digital promotion, and equipment, really make this an outstanding concept.
